At We Are Family, we know that one organisation alone cannot provide the support needed by adoptive families. We work with a range of organisations to help support and grow our members and advocate for change. You can find out more about our partners and extended family below.
We Are Family has enjoyed a long-standing and successful partnership with Adopt London for over six years. Adopt London understands the importance of peer support provision and has invested in the development of WAF to ensure 1500+ families have access to in-person and digital support services. We have also collaborated on a range of projects, such as the ‘WAF Talks’ webinar programme for adoptive parents and the ‘Adoption Shared’ podcast, which has now been listened to over 20,000 times.

We have developed a strategic partnership with Yorkshire Adoption Agency (YAA) to enhance support and grow a sense of community for adoptive families in the Yorkshire area. This partnership provides YAA members access to WAF’s online digital platform, offering numerous resources, peer support opportunities, and educational tools.
We have partnered with Adoption In Merseyside since 2025, and seen great success with engaging adoptive families, with a growing membership of over 60 families, achieved in a short time. We have engaged three new parent volunteers who have attended our specialist training, led by a psychotherapist and social worker. Peer support groups are up and running and many adoptive parents are benefitting from invaluable community and understanding. A highlight was Chester Zoo Day, bringing together over 70 families and creating both moments of connection and lasting change.

We initially worked with Adoption Partnership South East (APSE) from 2021-2024 to invest in new peer support groups across Kent, Bexley and Medway. After successfully supporting the creation of 4 groups serving over 250 adoptive families, APSE now promotes WAF to its networks and contributes to our volunteer support programme.
